Family photography sessions are encouraged to take place in your home! If you are visiting the Grand Strand on vacation, we can certainly go to the beach or any of the other beautiful locations along the Grand Strand, Pawleys, Charleston or Wilmington… These sessions are all about PLAY and are not rushed. My goal is to capture the connection between your family, not just a perfectly posed portrait. The details and moments of tenderness (and sometimes chaos) are what lights me on fire to do this job! Your job is to let go and show me who you are.

Experience & Process

After your inquiry through the website, I’ll get in touch and send over all the information you need. We can talk over the phone if you’d like and you may ask me any and all questions. Once you’ve decided to book your Myrtle Beach family photography session, you’ll be emailed a contract that you will sign online and then pay your session fee. At that point we will keep in touch about your session via text.

I want your images to be perfect, so after your session is complete it will take around 2 weeks for editing. You’ll then receive an online gallery which will be live for 3 days. During this time you will select your collection. Every collection comes with either prints, an album, or a combination of both, along with digitals.

I do not offer digital files without prints as an option. So much effort is put into these sessions. It’s my job to make sure they are printed professionally and my print collections are of the highest quality available. If you are only after images to post to IG and Facebook, I’m not the girl for you. Prints matter and you are going to get the most beautiful, museum quality prints to enjoy forever!

What should we wear for our Myrtle Beach family photo session?: Mothers and children are welcome to wear clothing from my curated client wardrobe. Upon booking give me sizes and I will pull what I have and send photos. I'm happy to meet you and drop off any clothing you wish to borrow a few days before your session. If wearing your own clothing, pull timeless, simple pieces that are comfortable (please, no stiff church clothes and no large graphics or logos).
When should we book our family photography session?: Most clients book their session a few months in advance. If you are looking for an October or November session date, please contact me as early in the year as possible. While it's possible I may be able to fit someone in last minute, it's always better to plan ahead if you can.
Are pets allowed at family photo sessions?: If they are well trained, absolutely!
What is the typical client investment for a portrait session?: A portrait investment with Wendy Kovac Photography starts at $1200. There is a $395 session fee to reserve your date and covers the time and talent of the photographer before, during and after your session. Each Myrtle Beach family photography session comes with museum quality print products as well as high resolution digital images.
